The Tempest
The MFA group's first major production of their second year was an adaptation of Shakespeare's The Tempest with guest director Cressida Brown of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Patrick took on the difficult and physical role of Caliban. His portrayal of the disturbed monster was one of the highlights of the production.
There is No Silence
The MFA spring 2014 production was a devised work based on the life and works of Marcel Marceau. In There is No Silence, Patrick used his motion capture skills to appear onstage with the master of mime in a recreation of one of his most famous works. Marceau had visited Ohio State before his death and experimented with motion capture to record his techniques.
Waiting for Godot
One of the highlights of Patrick's second year as an MFA candidate came with a Lab Series production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, in which he played Pozzo. He remains one of Samuel Beckett's greatest admirers.
