In Here Out There
Patrick's final year at Ohio State was a concentration on devising and new works. The previous summer, the MFA cohort spent time collaborating with the Royal Shakespeare Company on a two week intensive in England. The Ohio State University and the RSC have partnered for several years on the Shakespeare and Autism project, and the devised work, In Here Out There, was the culmination of the cohort's experience in the project.
In Here Out There is the story of a young autistic girl and the imaginary world of superheros that she has created in her mind. Patrick's character Red is the embodiment of her fear, anger and frustration.

Performance Art
The MFA's spent a short time exploring the world of performance art at the Urban Art Space in Columbus. Patrick's piece involved his body being strung up with a sign that said, "WARNING Do not feed. Do not give water. Do not set free." It was an experiment to see how long it would take a spectator to cut him down as his pain and discomfort grew. He was left hanging in place for four hours until a concerned woman freed him.
